Krish has a background as a Portfolio Manager across both equity and macro based strategies, working for both real money firms and hedge funds. His core view for many years has been that macro factors drive not only broad equity indices, rates, fx and commodities but that macro also explains single stock price movements far more than is generally appreciated – an idea that was validated at QI.
Krish has previously been a PM at Fidelity (achieving an Excel Top 5 Investors ranking), he founded KDA (an equity hedge fund with USD1.8bn AUM at peak), was a Partner at Brevan Howard and a Macro PM at Citi Capital Advisors Global Macro Fund. Krish holds a BA in Computer Science from Cambridge and an MBA from Wharton.
Mahmood is an experienced macro investor with a background as a rates derivatives trader, macro proprietary trader and macro hedge fund Portfolio Manger. He started researching quantitative investment processes several years ago and founded QI in 2014. His research into quantitative methods was motivated by a conviction that traditional macro investment processes no longer worked as they had previously, that market structure was changing and that a new approach was needed to understand financial market dynamics.
Mahmood started his career at Morgan Stanley and has since worked for firms including UBS, Credit Suisse, BlueCrest Capital and Citi Capital Advisors Global Macro Fund. He holds a B.SC and M.Sc in Economics from the LSE
